Our Products

Short Term Disability (STD)

If an employee is pregnant, injured, suffering from depression, or diagnosed with and illness, they may need financial support during work absences.

Long Term Disability (LTD)

Helps to maintain an employee’s standard of living while recovering from a chronic disability: muscle, joint or back problems, depression, and other issues.

PFML and Statutory Leaves

Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), Paid Family Leave (PFL), and temporary Disability Insurance (DI) programs can be state-mandated or voluntary depending on the state where employees work.

Hint

This coverage solution can help financially support employees when they can’t earn a paycheck due to a short-term situation. Employees receive weekly payments of a portion of their salary for three months to a year, depending on the policy. And, they have access to competitive group rates offered through your program.

Special Considerations:
If you have employees who work in a state with state-mandated disability or paid medical leave benefits (“State Benefits*”), they should carefully consider whether to enroll for this coverage. If employees are eligibe for State Benefits, they must apply if required by state law. If permitted, your employees’ STD benefit will be reduced by State Benefits or other government benefits that apply. Depending on your employees’ compensation, the amount of the State Benefit, and other factors, they may only receive the minimum weekly benefit. Your employees should consider, based on their individual circumstances, whether they need additional coverage beyond the State Benefit.

* These jurisdictions include, but may not be limited to, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Washington (and Delaware and Minnesota as of 1/1/26, Maine as of 5/1/26, and Maryland as of 7/1/26).

With Long Term Disability, employees receive direct monthly payments of a portion of their salary (after the initial waiting period) to help them stay afloat and pay expenses if they find themselves out of work due to a chronic condition.

These programs allow workers to request a wage replacement benefit if they are sick, hurt, or unable to work due to a family matter. Bonding with a new child, caring for a sick family member, or addressing a qualifying military exigency are typically covered. However, qualifying leave reasons vary by state.
