Rate Renewals

At MetLife, our customers are our top priority. As such, we want to help those who may be facing challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. For our group customers with fewer than 500 lives we held rates (no rate increase) for all renewals with June 1, 2020 through September 1, 2020 renewal dates.

For our group Dental and Vision customers with 99 or fewer employees, we held rates (no rate increase) for Dental and Vision renewals with effective dates commencing on or before May 31, 2021. *

This renewal approach helps assure the sustainability of our small group employers and their benefit programs.

COVID-19 Support Hotline

MetLife has set up a dedicated COVID-19 hotline provided by LifeWorks for employers with fewer than 500 lives. Employee have access to:

  • A dedicated toll-free hotline offering 24/7 telephonic support including immediate emotional support, research and referrals, and access to guidance and resources to cope with COVID-19. Available by calling: 1-800-366-1192
  • Public webinars on COVID-19 Facts and Emotional Well-being. Available by visiting: https://us.morneaushepell.com/toolkit-individuals   

Financial Wellness

We at MetLife care deeply about the health and holistic well-being of our customers, their employees, and our associates. According to a new survey of small businesses conducted by MetLife and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, 56 percent say financial relief payments for all Americans is a top priority3. And, in the months ahead, nearly one-third say they’re looking for guidance on how to keep their employees safe and well.3
